Nursing offers that extraordinary opportunity to contribute to the well-being of people. From my first experience of applying leeches to preserve a burn victim’s ear to participating in CPR to bring a person back to life, nursing has always been much more than just a career to me. It is the positive impact of this contribution to society that ignites my passion for lifelong learning. This fervent passion propelled me to obtain advanced preparation as a family nurse practitioner and led me to my second love and specialization, psychiatric mental health care.
