Sydney Barfield, PMHNP-BC

Sydney Barfield MSN, PMHNP-BC was born in Columbus, Ohio and has lived across the US and abroad. She eventually settled and began her career in nursing in Orlando, Florida. Sydney used her bachelor’s in psychology from Duke University to create and implement educational events for youth focused on using visual arts to overcome mental health challenges.

Ms. Barfield then earned her bachelors of science and then masters in nursing at Louisiana College and Anderson University, respectively. She has psychiatric ER and inpatient experience across Florida. She is now studying the the role of arts in mental health care while pursuing her doctorate in nursing practice. Ms.
