Dr Bornfriend is Board Certified in Adult, Child and Adolescent, and Forensic Psychiatry. In addition, after having been the sole psychiatric provider in a cancer hospital for the past 9 1/2 years, she is well versed in issues related to psycho-oncology. She works as a psychotherapist as well as specializing in psychiatric evaluation, treatment planning, and the management of psychotropic medications.
She is a thought leader in the field of medical cannabis, working as a certifying physician as well as working individually with patients interested in "de-prescribing" from their traditional pharmaceutical agents for a wide variety of medical conditions using medical cannabis and other integrative modalities.
