I am a lover of all things peaceful. I enjoy quiet moments in the early morning hours, knitting, reading, wool, animals of all kinds, snuggling a newborn, and a good cup of tea. I am the wife of an inventor who is masquerading as a software engineer during the day, and I am a mother to four children. Our cabin in the woods is filled with music, art, and joy.

I have been attending births in Alaska for the last 20 years and the magic is still there for me. Those quiet, tender, powerful moments spent in the middle of the night in the dimness of the birth room are magical. I treasure the space I hold while keeping watch over the normal and natural process of birth.
