JOAN POPKIN, PhD

Dr. Popkin is a Licensed Psychologist and Associate Professor. She earned her M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her post-doctoral experiences included working with the autism assessment team, counseling children and families, and collaborating with school staff and students.

Dr. Popkin is a generalist who treats a variety of conditions. Her clinical interests and experiences include anxiety and depressive disorders, childhood disorders, women’s health issues, issues regarding racial and ethnic identity, relationship and family issues, as well as consultation services for children and families.
