Why did we create JAX Mobile Urgent Care?

As Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant Providers, we watched patients with minor medical issues wait for hours on end in the waiting room, as sicker patients with life-threatening illnesses were prioritized and seen before them. A patient could easily wait two to three hours, or longer, to be seen for a minor rash, laceration, urinary tract infection, ear pain, sore throat, cough, etc.

We thought, why wait in a waiting room full of sick, coughing, people when you could be seen in the comfort of your home. Why take a day off of work to be seen for that sore throat when you could be seen during a lunch break.
