I've had a long career in nursing since graduating college and worked in many areas including the Peace Corps in Sierra Leone in West Africa, Home Health, Hospice, and then furthered my education as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Working in family practice and rheumatology as an NP, patients expressed a desire to know more about alternatives to the standard approach. To learn more I studied with the Institute for Functional Medicine and completed the certification. This helps me offer patients the best scientific and holistic options along with modern medicine.
