While pursuing my doctorate degree in nursing, my interest in medical research made me more aware of the health disparities in male populations. Through active listening and thoughtful questioning, I realized that men often lack motivation for seeking healthcare. This neglect commonly leads to long term health issues. As a concerned wife and mother of two sons, I am passionate about educating men on the importance of self-care to prevent illness and chronic diseases. I have provided medical treatment to males in various settings, including urgent care, public health, and correctional facilities. In addition to primary care, I’ve specialized in treating Hepatitis C and sexually transmitted infections (including HIV).
