COURTNEY RAMIREZ, PMHNP-BC

I was born in Iowa, and raised in Georgia. I began my medical career in the Army, where I first began training in combat medicine. After spending time helping people with their medical and emotional problems, I realized this was my passion. I decided to continue my education while in the Military and received my BSN in 2014

I worked in various hospital positions as an RN. My experiences illustrated the gap between medical and psychiatric care, and how the mind/body connection is often ignored. These gaps in care encouraged me to pursue a career in mental health after completing my service obligation.

I completed my graduate studies at Maryville University and received my Masters Degree as a PMHNP-BC.
