"Having completed my general surgery residency in a fast-paced and challenging surgical environment greatly increased my confidence and proficiency in trauma. This experience also allowed me to develop a deeper understanding of the importance of critical care while building the skills that are imperative in being a complete perioperative physician. During my surgical critical care fellowship, I saw a wide range of complex physiology which allowed me to take care of the sickest of patients and those suffering major injuries in the surgical ICU."
