Barbara Arnold, MD

Barbara J. Arnold, MD, is an experienced ophthalmologist, serving Sacramento, California, with a passion and exceptional talent for art. Artists believe that vision goes beyond just “seeing” by establishing a connection between the eye and the brain. Dr. Arnold’s deep understanding of how art relates to vision adds an essential layer of care and compassion that she offers her patients. 
Dr. Arnold graduated with a medical degree from the University of Colorado School of Medicine, in Denver, Colorado. She followed this with an internship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and returned to the University of Colorado to pursue a 3-year residency in ophthalmology. Dr.
