I love helping people. It's what drives me, (and my lovely wife Dolores), to volunteer so much of our time to helping people in need. So, when I witnessed first-hand how my mother's aunt suffered financially when her husband passed away and her income suddenly dropped, I was heart-broken. The good news was that she was able to get a reverse mortgage that allowed her to live comfortably for the rest of her life.I've seen too many people struggle during retirement especially when unexpected events like a serious illness or an unexpected death of a spouse lead to a drastic change in lifestyle. Moving, when you'd prefer to stay where you are can be traumatizing to many. I hate to see that. As I was helping people with their taxes, I began researching reverse mortgages. The more I learned, the more I fell in love with the benefits that these loans offered seniors in the right situations. Over time, I began helping some of my my income tax clients get reverse mortgages.
